    I hereby confirm that I am over 18 years of age and the information I have provided is to the best of my knowledge true and accurate at the time of completion and hereby authorise the landlord or their agent to:

    • carry out credit searches and reference checks, to contact employers, banks, referees, guarantors and credit reference agencies as appropriate.
    • use the information obtained with third parties to assess credit ratings, make insurance decisions, for fraud prevention and tracing / debt collection.
    • Handle all information obtained in strictest confidence and in accordance with the principles of the Data Protection Act 2018 (GDPR).

    I acknowledge

    • that my application may be refused if the landlord is unable to obtain satisfactory evidence of rent affordability based on the information provided as part of this application. I accept that due to the confidential nature of this application, I will not be permitted access to the references, credit checks or any other information and I will not be provided with an explanation should any of the information indicate that I and/or my guarantor are unsuitable applicants
    • that my application will be voided if the tenancy agreement and relevant documentation is not provided within two weeks of receiving the agreement; the property will be re-advertised with view to Graysons Properties finding another tenant

    I accept that: I will pay one weeks rent to be called a ‘rent advance’. This is to secure the property and will be deducted from the first months’ rent on move in. Should the tenancy fail to proceed after 14 days of payment (or a different deadline for the agreement in writing), the ‘rent advance’ does not need to be refunded if the tenant: Withdraws out of the agreement themselves, Fails the right to rent check, Has provided false or misleading information Or, the landlord has tried their best to get the information, but the tenant has failed to provide it within the 15 days.
